Juwon has failed to keep in touch after the end of the show; this changes when Dongsik invites him to help him move out of the family home. This then becomes an ongoing project - Juwon trying to encourage Dongsik to get rid of things, but inevitably being drawn into Dongsik’s reminisences; over time, Dongsik’s sharing of memories helps Juwon deal with some memories of his own. But of course, it is also about making new ones. And Juwon realising that maybe living alone isn’t so great after all. I enjoyed this, and the slow build of it, a lot!

Juwon and Hyeok have such an intriguing relationship, where they are both quite pragmatically taking advantage of each other, but it is not as if there is no fondness there as well? Anyway, I enjoyed Hyeok’s perspective on Juwon in this fic! And his insistence on getting what he wants, even when Juwon wants to avoid the subject.

Of the vids I watched for Equinox Exchange, I particularly liked this one for Fingersmith & The Handmaiden, and its deliberate compare and contrast. I thought that was very cool!

A beautifully edited vid that gets across the twistiness of the film quite succinctly, whilst always remaining focused on Sookhee and Hideko's blossoming romance.
